Kenosha Velodrome Racing
Hello everyone. Washington Bowl or as it is called now Washington Velodrome is entering it 85th year of operation.
It is really exciting that we are the oldest operating Velodrome in the United States and have one of the most exciting programs for racers and spectators alike.
Our Monday night Stock Bike program has gotten bigger every year the last 6 years showing more and more young kids the joy of bicycle racing. We have entrants as young as 3 and as old as 50+.
Stop by on a Monday night starting in June and see the future stars of racing.
Tuesday night is still the premire night of bicycle racing, where we have upwards of 50 bicycle racers from around the midwest competing against the best racers from Kenosha, Racine and Milwaukee. Races start May 15 at 7:00pm and run through September.
REMEMBER ADMISSION IS ALWAYS FREE, just bring your chair or blanket and enjoy a night of thrills.
We are currently looking at June 19 as our salute to the past racers of Washington Bowl(Washington Park Velodrome). This being our 85th year we would like to see as many of our past racers as possible. So if you know someone who raced at the track or you raced at the track we would like to see you on JUNE 19 2012 at 6:30pm so you can take a LAP OF HONOR(either on a bike or walking what ever way you can) with the men and women who made bicycle track racing popular in Kenosha. Don't forget to bring your jersey or medals with you. It will be fun for everyone.
